HOW IT WORKS
A straightforward process for consumers and businesses
Consumer Watch is designed to make genuine consumer experiences searchable while keeping a visible right of reply and a structured process for concerns about published content.
1. Create your account
Register with your contact details and choose a username. When you publish, you can choose whether the public report displays your username or your real name.
2. Tell your experience in your own words
Identify the business or service provider, describe what was agreed, explain what happened, record any attempts you made to resolve the matter and state the outcome you are seeking. Keep the report relevant to your own experience and distinguish facts from opinions.
3. Review and publish for free
Check your report and confirm that it describes your genuine experience. No card or payment is required. Publication does not mean Consumer Watch has independently verified or endorsed the report. Published material remains subject to the site rules and content-complaint process.
4. The report becomes searchable
Published reports appear on Consumer Watch and can contribute to the relevant business profile, category and location pages. Reports can be shared using their permanent link.
5. Businesses have a right of reply
A business or service provider named in a report can submit a response. A published response appears with the report so readers can consider both the consumer’s account and the response.
6. Content concerns have a separate process
If someone believes specific published material should be challenged, the content-complaint form collects the information needed to identify the material and explain the concern. The author is given an opportunity to respond, edit or remove their material in accordance with the site process.
